Behind the scenes of our RegCF launch

Winding down our launch day (still editing launch day +1 content for all of you : )

I wanted to share the effort behind the champagne launch visual, in case it helps others believe they can act "outside their comfort zone" - cuz this whole process has been exactly that.

Here is a quick snapshot of what's been happening behind the scenes in a tiny house at the top of a hill in Lake Tahoe - as you all know, while trying to run and grow a freaking business!

Despite the crazy-making last year described below, I think I actually found my life purpose along the way. And that's pretty much all that matters. 💥 ✅

➡️ Here are some fun facts from our experience launching a Reg CF:

  • 11 months of iterating the pitch

  • 40-ish pitch feedback calls

  • 1 month of spreadsheet madness and analysis of CPA for every day of outreach to identify the highest profitability potential for the product market fit

  • 4 months of evaluating, comparing, sales calls, cost spreadsheets, and then the choice and implementation of 5 new pieces of software to ensure a stack ready for scale

  • ~ 200 hours of pretending to be a CTO, learning and trying to get data automations and integrations right (they're not quite there but will be!)

  • 8 weeks of going back through every school, job, neighborhood, festival, and more that we've ever done to find people that might be interested in supporting us.

  • 14 weeks of contact lists, exporting contacts, wondering who those contacts were and whether they would hate us for sending email to them, then more data cleaning, importing, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning a database of 2500 prospective investors plus our prospect/customer db of 1500 ish

  • 250 hours of personal outreach to 140 potential investors

  • 4 all-nighters fighting through compliance and diligence with StartEngine in the last 8 biz days

  • Launch delays every day for 23 days

  • Last-minute notice that we have to complete our first threshold by 4/30 rather than the 90 days in our paperwork

  • More than $10k of hidden fees

  • Close to 100 audio texts asking my fabulous people to take action on launch day

    And that’s just to go live!

    I'm so grateful for the conversations, texts, support, connections, ideas, feedback, and investments so far. Abundance is so clear - don't buy into the zero sum game all around us.

    💌 I've picked some pretty awesome humans starting at about 12 to my "proactive aging 58 years now" to go on this life adventure with. 💖

    Let's keep this up and redefine our expectations and approach to our second half. It's gonna be epic. 🔥
